Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank Inaugurates Island’s First Mobile Demo Van

The A&N State Cooperative Bank has introduced Islands’ first Mobile Demo VAN sponsored by NABARD under FIF Scheme. The Mobile Demo Van was inaugurated on 23rd November 2018 at 11.00 AM at the Head Office premises. Shri B V S Prasad, General Manager, NABARD was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The programme was also attended by Shri Bhagat Singh, Chairman, A&N State Cooperative Bank, Board of Directors, Managing Director, NABARD officials and large gathering of general public and customers. Welcoming the Chief Guest, Shri K Murugan, Managing Director, A&N State Cooperative Bank extended his heartfelt thanks to the entire team of NABARD for granting Mobile Demo Van under FIF Scheme. He further requested G.M. NABARD to provide two more Mobile Vans for N&M Andaman and Nicobar District. He also requested the people present on the occasion to avail the benefits of the schemes of the bank. The Chairman, Bhagat Singh in his key note address thanked the NABARD for extending the various schemes of Govt. of India to A&N State Cooperative Bank.He also opined that the Mobile Demo Van will be the first of its kind in the history of A&N Islands. He requested the people to come forward and join hands with the bank for the uplifting the socio economic lives of people.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest, B V S Prasad expressed his view on latest Technological Banking System and cited various works done by the A&N State Cooperative Bank so far. He spoke on recent banking revolution like Mobile Banking, Internet Banking and others technological aspects. He also emphasized that Mobile Van will be the first ever banking inclusion in the history of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in which all segments of people can reap the benefits. He also informed that once the connectivity improves, several new facilities will be added in the Mobile Demo Van. He later flagged off the “Demo Mobile Van” for its operations and wished great success along with Shri. Bhagat Singh, Chairman of the Bank. The Programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Shri Raghubir Singh, Assistant General Manager, (L&A).
